About the Club

Between childhood memories and Gems enrichment comes adulthood. As we become busy and distracted by work, raising families and pursuing the “middle” of life, Golden Slipper Club provides a place of friendship, networking and connection to doing well to do good.  From social events to a strong business network, join us as we seek to enjoy the busiest years with respite, charitable work and the support of lifelong friendships in the Club.

History

In 1922 a group of Jewish Masons decided to get together regularly for social evenings and card games. These men began to “cut the pot” and use these monies to help needy families with coal or milk or other essentials. From these acts of kindness grew a more structured group, which was chartered and became known as the Golden Slipper Square Club, with a motto of “Charity, Good Fellowship & Loyalty.”

Today we welcome men and women of all faiths to join us in Community, Kindness, Relationships.  Our members give from their hearts – financially, through their expertise, their time, and their teamwork – to help the organization maintain and grow an unmatched summer camp for children, a college scholarship fund for deserving students, and an enrichment program for our seniors.

Membership

Golden Slipper Club & Charities welcomes everyone who wishes to invest their time and talents to grow and serve our missions to provide summer camp experiences to young people, Passover Seders to those in need, basic daily living needs through HUNAS, and educational engagement for older adults in Gems. Membership is open to adults over the age of 21. Golden Slipper’s values are built on a Jewish tradition but welcomes service-minded people of every faith and background.  New members are welcome and we ask that you meet with a sponsor to introduce you to our values, our network and our work.
